Freedom Of Expression....

We get of people commenting on our music and our freestyle videos. The fact that on the music itself there is very little or no cussing at all. But on freestyle they cuss. If I had it may way there would be no cussing at all. But I had to think about that for a while and ask myself I am limiting their freedom of expression. And yes I was- I can't force my ideals on someone else even thou it's my company. Every one should have the right to express themselves-this is America right? This is the conclusion I came to--the freestyle videos are actually therapy it gets a lot of deep feelings and emotions out, that's what I was told. I can't stop them but they are getting the picture, they are expanding their vocabulary. Thinking about how they want express themselves without the "colorful" expletive's. I understand that this is the kind of language some of them grew up around --but it's not the kind of language that has to stay around

Criticism.....

We get a lot of people who want us to critique their music. If you really want to know if your music is good or not, pick someone you know who is far removed for your inner circle of friends and family. Ask them to listen and give their honest opinion. But you as an artist have to be prepared for the criticism. Not every one in the music business is good, but if you really want to know, ask someone.
I’ve been thinking about charting our Journey in the music industry for a while. The trails we face as an Indie with great music are quite challening. First I want to thank all of our MySpace fans for your support, you like so many others are wondering why we haven’t hit main stream. It’s not that we haven’t sent our music out to main stream radio - it’s that we don’t know the right people. Unfortunately we still live in a radio world where we have encountered , pay me to play, or I don’t know you and you didn’t use our people for your beats so I’m not going to play your music. However I still believe that we have something to say and were not quiting. I find it had to believe that what we hear on the radio these days are really the reflection of our society. Our music speaks to the everyday life of a lot of our young people. I’m Sorry Ma- reflects on Element telling his mother I have a baby on the way… Gunplay relects on an issue a lot of young people have with police pulling you over “just cause” Should I Choose talks about some of the choises The Gutta Boyz had to make, should I choose to go school or deal drugs to put food on my table and what about us living in this ghetto. Urban talks about making it and having a refrigerator full of food for his family and how his family has been broke for years. Half/dead reflects on people who have betrayed him .We also have fun with our music. I never want our music to be meaningless it should make you dance or make you think. We will continue push our music and IT WILL GET PLAYED….Were just wondering who will break Maylay Entertainment’s music…who ever you are.., you will surely be blessed. So call your local radio stations in the Chicagoland area, they all have our music.

There’s more to come….Trust me……
