God, Rap, Prayer & Wisdom

I’ve wanted to share my thoughts on this subjust for quite a while. I’ve learned that if something is constantly on your mind it may be something you should act on. I would bet my last dollar that a lot of the rappers today came from a background that either they or members of their family have a strong church foundation and believe in God, as I do. I read my bible for guidance, leadership & wisdom, as it is the best book ever!

Over the past year or so Maylay Entertainment has went thru a lot of changes. I’ve seen many of my artists go thru some changes also and as always I pray for them. These young men have had to make some hard decisions, their families aren't as stable as they should be and life has given them unfair advantages. I continue to pray, as my staff and I try to assist them any way we can. I pray that theses young men always make good choices and ignore the small things and the small people. What has all this praying done? It has made a difference in our lives and theirs, do they have less struggles no, but I always ask for God’s grace and mercy for them. God answers prayer everyday. I am amazed when I see what he has done for these young men, he has made them better, and wiser with a tenacity to succeed that some adults don’t have. I am very proud of them. I will continue to pray for them and their families because prayer truly does change things. It doesn't matter if you’re a rapper, God loves you just as much as the preacher.

I don’t want to come off as some sac religious chick and I am very rough around the edges and God is still working on me, daily. However, I will continue to pray for these young men, this company and the world, and if you’d like, even for you, because a little prayer goes a long way.
